![]() It didn't feel like risk management/assessment was relevant to Hyperrogue, that it is just puzzly gameplay, but I know collecting treasures causes monsters to spawn. I may very well be wrong about it, because the things that felt lacking about the game very well could have been judgement errors on my part. This didn't really interest me enough to delve deeper into the game. Maybe it is related to my phone being old (it's 10 years old), or that I played the free version, but its interface was really buggy since I changed some settings, which led to me not playing it anymore.Īlso, while I appreciated the idea of being set in non-euclydian geometry, the gameplay seemed to me to not go further than "find one of the few the right move that isn't a mistake"-type of puzzly gameplay (a bit like doing the atheist challenge in hoplite), but now with weird geometry that works with or against you.
